eSentire announces EU location in Ireland

2 min read

Cambridge, ON – eSentire Inc., a leader in continuous advanced threat protection solutions and managed cybersecurity services, announces today that its new European-based Security Operations Center (SOC) and headquarters will be located in Cork, Ireland.

Today, the company protects trillions of dollars in assets and high value confidential data for a global client base monitored through its SOC in Cambridge, Ontario. To match the regulatory environment in the EU and to continue to expand on the success it has achieved in this market, eSentire will introduce a ‘follow the sun’ support network through its new Cork, Ireland SOC.

“It was important for us to find a location that had an ecosystem, similar to that of Waterloo Region where Cambridge is located, one that could supply the technical talent we rely on to deliver high quality service for our clients in the EU,” said J. Paul Haynes, CEO eSentire. “Cork, Ireland has developed a strong technical and commercial ecosystem to support our business and the Irish Government has worked with us every step of the way. We are proud to be opening our new facility in Cork.”

eSentire is rapidly growing its security service model to respond to the demand in this fast growing market. The company currently has a sales office in the UK and provides mid-sized enterprises with its award winning real-time monitoring and mitigation of cyber threats service, called Active Threat Protection (ATP).

eSentire has already commenced recruiting for its Cork location, which it plans to officially open in the fall. Technical employees in Canada and Ireland will benefit from job exchange opportunities as the company grows. eSentire is actively recruiting top talent for its Cambridge, Ontario location and is on track to nearly double its workforce this year.
