We are so proud to be named on the 2026 Waterloo Area’s Top Employers list. This is the ninth consecutive year that eSentire has received the prestigious award which recognizes employers in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph areas that lead their industries in providing outstanding workplaces for their employees. The competition has been held for 19 years and is organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers.

The winning companies were evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. They were judged on the same eight criteria as the national competition: (1) Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere and Social; (3) Health, Financial and Family Benefits; (4) Vacation and Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training and Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which company offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.

Here are three of the reasons we were selected as a Top Waterloo Area Employer in 2026:

We are not only committed to protecting our 2,000+ global customers’ critical data and applications from known and unknown cyber threats but are equally committed to building careers for our employees.

We invest in our team so they can enhance their skills, master their craft, and develop the dynamic career they deserve. As such, eSentire has created an environment for our team to push and challenge each other collaboratively.

We also have robust training and certification programs across our Security Operations Center (SOC), Technical Services and Engineering teams to support career goals and progression planning.

Additional employee programs and perks include:

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a Top Waterloo Employer for the ninth consecutive year and to be included with these outstanding employers in the Waterloo region,” said Kathryn Hodge, Chief People Officer for eSentire. “Our employees are our most valuable asset, and eSentire is committed to ensuring that our team members are supported both professionally and personally so they can thrive. If our employees thrive then our customers thrive and that is a win-win for everyone.”
