Email remains the number one-way attackers get in and it's also the attack surface most MDR providers have historically treated as a second-class citizen, bolted on through log ingestion rather than built into detection and response. eSentire is extending its Atlas platform to cover the inbox directly, closing one of the most exploited gaps in the modern SOC.
eSentire is pleased to announce its partnership with Sublime Security, the agentic email security platform. Through the new partnership, eSentire has built Sublime Security's programmable email detection directly into its Atlas platform, extending MDR coverage to the inbox.
According to eSentire's threat report, nearly 50% of threats originate through email — making it one of the most exploited attack vectors today. Atlas inspects the behavior and intent of every message, catching phishing, business email compromise, and AI-crafted lures that reputation- and signature-based filters miss.
Most MDRs today treat email as a second-class citizen, limited to allow-listing or block-listing senders and domains after the fact. And because Sublime's detection engine is fully programmable, eSentire's SOC can build and deploy new detections at the root cause the moment a new attack pattern emerges, instead of waiting on vendor fixes. Atlas will correlate email signals with endpoint, cloud, identity, and network activity so a threat is investigated as one attack, not scattered alerts. eSentire's 24/7 SOC then investigates and responds with a human on the loop, mitigating risk from one of the most common threat vectors.
Most email security tools operate as black boxes: every customer gets the same centralized detection logic, with little visibility into why a message was blocked. Sublime is built differently. Its full detection engine and content library deploy into each customer's environment individually, giving eSentire's SOC visibility down to the line of code on why a message was flagged, and the ability to customize coverage for that customer without affecting any other. That granularity is what makes email a first-class signal in Atlas, rather than a static allow list.
This also speeds up how fast eSentire closes gaps. Instead of filing a ticket and waiting on a vendor fix, analysts write and deploy a new detection immediately, back-tested against the customer's own email history.
For customers, because Atlas correlates email signals with endpoint, identity, and network activity, an email-borne threat is investigated as one attack story, not a set of disconnected alerts. eSentire's 24/7 SOC still closes the loop, with a human on the loop for every response.
