J.Paul Haynes is an Advisor to eSentire, the company he helped build into the authority in AI-powered Managed Detection and Response (MDR). During his tenure at eSentire, he successfully partnered with growth capital and private equity firms to invest in and scale eSentire, realizing the vision of creating a disruptive cybersecurity company. J.Paul is a professional engineer with a 35-year entrepreneurial track record of success. His business acumen, in-depth understanding of technology, and strong leadership have made him a respected and reliable voice on the topic of cybersecurity in North America, Europe and Asia.
J.Paul holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Guelph. He is also a proud alumnus serving on the Advisory Board of the Masters of CyberSecurity and Threat Intelligence for University of Guelph's College of Physical Science, is a Board Director for Technation and in 2025 co-chaired the Canadian T7 cybersecurity and AI working group as part of Canada's G7 Presidency.
