Dustin Rigg Hillard is Chief Product and Technology Officer at eSentire, where he leads the company’s integrated product and technology organization. He is responsible for advancing eSentire’s technology vision, product strategy, and engineering execution, driving the development of Atlas with agentic AI to deliver expert-level security outcomes at scale. His focus is on enabling customers and partners to stay ahead of adaptive threats with speed and precision.
Dustin’s vision is grounded in accelerating the adoption of AI by making intelligent systems more explainable, accessible, and outcome-driven. Prior to joining eSentire through its acquisition of Versive, he served as CTO at Versive, where he focused on automating the detection of advanced threats based on Versive’s explainable AI platform.
He was previously an early data scientist on Microsoft’s Cortana team and worked in large-scale ad relevance and optimization at Yahoo!. His expertise spans security operations, advertising, speech recognition, natural language processing, and large-scale AI deployment. He has authored more than 30 publications in these areas.
Dustin holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
