J.Paul Haynes is a professional engineer with a 25-year entrepreneurial track record of success. J.Paul has led eSentire to 10x its size since he joined the company in late 2010. His business acumen, in-depth understanding of technology and strong leadership has made him a respected and reliable voice on the topic of cybersecurity in North America and Europe.
J.Paul Haynes has both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Guelph. J.Paul is a proud alumni, currently serving on the Industrial Advisory Board for the University of Guelph’s School of Engineering and the Board of Innovation Guelph.
Founder and Chief Security Strategist
In founding eSentire, Eldon Sprickerhoff responded to the incipient yet rapidly growing demand for a more proactive approach to preventing and investigating information security breaches. Now with over twenty years of tactical experience, he is acknowledged as a subject matter expert in information security analysis.
Eldon holds a Bachelor of Mathematics, Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
John Hartley Harris
Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer
John Hartley Harris has more than 20 years of executive-level financial and operational experience and leads eSentire’s financial operations and investor relations. John has provided counsel and leadership to companies through the full spectrum of growth, including business combinations and IPO. John is a proven business builder of early stage, high growth companies and venture firms working with early stage companies. John is proud to have contributed through the leadership teams for companies including Descartes (DSG:NASDAQ-1998, TSX–1997), ThoughtCorp (acquired by EPAM:NYSE) and RIS (acquired by Sierra:Private). Founding partner of New Carbon Economy Fund.
John holds an Honours degree from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario where he enjoyed playing Mustangs Varsity hockey. He is the proud father to three children.
Chief Technology Officer
Mark McArdle is a charismatic, seasoned technology executive with over 20 years experience with top technology brands, such as PGP Inc. and most recently McAfee’s Senior VP for its consumer product development division. Mark defines new products for eSentire to remain leading edge and competitive, and himself holds six patents in Internet security.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and is a graduate of Ivey Business School at Western University, and completed the Ivey Executive Program in 2005.
Vice President, Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, Jamie is responsible for leading eSentire’s product development and quality assurance organizations and all aspects of system and service design, implementation and testing.
Jamie is an experienced senior leader with a proven track record in the security software industry with companies like Magnet Forensics and McAfee, where he's lead a variety of product development teams across enterprise, consumer, law-enforcement, and government customers. He is named on several security patents and has a passion for technology that solves complex problems and customer driven innovation.
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Applying over 17 years of sales leadership experience, Felix Knoll is responsible for all Field, Channel, and Inside Sales and Engineering teams at eSentire. Prior to joining eSentire, Felix was the Director of Americas Sales for Symantec’s Threat and Risk Management Group. Most notably during his career at Symantec, he was recognized as the top national sales leader across North America in 2012.
Felix holds a Bachelor of Science-Business degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Vice President, Marketing
As a member of the LegalSec Council with the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), Mark is a cybersecurity evangelist who has spent signifiant time researching and speaking to peripheral factors influencing the way that legal firms integrate cyberesecurity into their day-to-day operations.
In addition to his passion for cybersecurity, Mark’s 20-year sales and marketing career was established with industry giants like Intel Corporation, BlackBerry and Cisco Systems. Mark’s experience unites a strong technical aptitude, and an intuitive understanding of regulatory agencies. During his time at BlackBerry, Mark worked on the first secure devices for government agencies and has continued to build mutually beneficial relationships with regulatory agencies in key sectors ever since. Mark leads a team of savvy customer-focused marketers at eSentire.
Mark holds a Bachelor in Psychology degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Business Diploma from Humber College.
Vice President, Security Operations and Customer Experience
A passionate believer in product evangelism and superior customer service, Eric Ritter leads eSentire’s end-to-end customer experience. His background includes 12 years at Research In Motion where he held several senior management roles directly focused on RIM’s Enterprise customers in both Technical Sales and Product Management. Eric was also named as a co-inventor on 4 RIM mobile technology focused patents.
Vice President, Corporate Development & Channel Partnerships
With over 25 years of experience in the information technology and financial services industries, Mark leads the corporate development and channel partnership programs at eSentire. Mark has previously held analyst and portfolio management roles at several investment management funds in addition to time spent focusing on M&A investment banking and corporate development for large technology-based organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Vice President, Customer Success and Services
A talented project manager, Dawn Leetham brings over 20 years of combined project management and software solutions experience to eSentire. As the VP of Customer Success and Services, she specializes in ensuring that client needs are met with the right solutions and each project receives meticulous attention to detail.
Dawn holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and has been a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2005.
Senior Director, Solutions Engineering & Advisory Services
As a seasoned solutions architect, Sean Blenkhorn has spent much of his 15-year career working with leading global companies. In his role as Director of Solutions Engineering at eSentire, Sean leads his team as they provide guidance and technical perspective to new customers as they adopt eSentire’s technology.
Sean has an Associate’s Degree in Software Engineering from Georgian College.
